Funding and Editorial Guidelines

We are committed to transparency in every aspect of funding for LCMedia Productions, Inc., and our productions including "Broken."

We accept gifts, grants and sponsorships from individuals, corporations, organizations and foundations to help with our productions and general operations. 

Our productions, including "Broken" are non-profit through the 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship of Filmmakers Collaborative.

We may receive funds from government programs offered to nonprofits projects or small businesses.

Our journalism judgments are made independently – and are never based on or influenced by donors or any revenue source. 

We do not give supporters the rights to assign, review or edit content.  

We make public through our website and in productions as well as through PBS when broadcast on public television all revenue sources and donors who provided funding or in-kind support to a production.  

We will not accept donations from sources who we deem to present a conflict of interest with our work, mission and values or compromise our independence.

LCMedia Productions requires that all of those involved with the production of its programs and films including "Broken" uphold the highest standards of ethics, fairness and honesty. 

Integrity is the cornerstone of the organization and our work. 

LCMedia follows the guidelines outlined by the Society of Professional Journalists and its mission of “seeking truth and providing a fair and comprehensive account of events and issues” as well as the basic standards for production in the PBS Editorial Standards and Practices.  Bottom line is our content, including "Broken," must be accurate, thorough, complete and fair – on all platforms.
